Title: Attitudes in COVID-19 Vaccination by the Faculty and Staff in a State University in the Philippines

Abstract

This study aimed to determine attitudes in Covid-19 vaccination of faculty and non-teaching personnel at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology San Isidro campus. Descriptive method was utilized using the “Vaccine Attitudes Examination (VAX) Scale (Martin & Petrie, 2017). In determining the profiles of demographic variables (age, sex, and educational attainment) and intellectual humility scale (Leary et al.,2017), Frequencies-Percentage were used. Descriptive statistics was also utilized to describe and determine the respondents in terms of their attitudes towards Covid-19 Vaccination.  Pearson moment of correlation coefficient was used in determining the significant difference. The research is consisted of 43 respondents from the faculty and non-teaching personnel. According to research findings, Majority of the respondents have a positive outlook towards Covid-19 vaccination, moreover, there are no significant differences among the scores in the intellectual humility and Vaccination attitudes of the faculty members and non-teaching personnel. Evidence-based educational and policy interventions must be implemented by the university that promotes Covid-19 vaccination programs.
